Tutorial: Publish on YouTube the right way
You have the MP4, the thumbnail and the SEO pack. This is the upload routine that gives a mood video its best shot in search — where this niche wins or loses.
- 1
Upload the file
YouTube Studio → Create → Upload videos. Long files upload for a while — start it first, fill everything else in during the upload.
- 2
Paste the SEO pack
Copy the title, description and tags from your project's Export step. Keep the duration in the title ("1 Hour", "10 Hours") — it's a top search pattern for ambient content.
- 3
Set the thumbnail
Upload the generated thumbnail. Check it at small size — that's how 90% of viewers see it in search and suggested.
- 4
Get the settings right
- Audience: not made for kids (standard for ambience).
- Category: Music.
- Language: English (matches the generated metadata).
- Visibility: schedule for your audience's evening — sleep content peaks at night, study content in the afternoon.
- 5
First 24 hours
- Pin a comment inviting requests ("What should the next rainy night sound like?").
- Add the video to a themed playlist — playlists are how ambient viewers binge.
- Don't panic at slow starts: long-form ambient grows on watch time and search, not the first-day spike.
Strategy deep-dives live on the blog: why long videos dominate and building an ambient channel.
